From Vibes to Themes

This out-of-class activity helps you capture open coding observations and save a .qmd file for next class.

Quick Start

  1. Open a song on Spotify or YouTube and paste the link below.
  2. In Obsidian, create a new note: [Song Title] - Observations.
  3. Listen once for sound (tempo, key) and once for content (lyrics).
  4. Find 3 themes: name the vibe and list specific evidence for each.
  5. Generate a .qmd file, store it for next class, and post one theme plus evidence to the discussion board.
